Empyrean.lol 1.4 Updates (4/7/25)

The big day is here. Update 1.4. This is definitely one of the biggest updates of all time, which isn't saying a lot considering there's only been three. Ironically it's actually the smallest yet, but it was desperately needed after the last one left so many things half-finished.

• New Pages finally Paging: Last update I discussed how I had added new pages (but they weren't connected to the rest of the site), and were working on other pages as well. Well, they're now implemented and added. I won't spoil them though!
• Project Page: Below "Welcome to the Site" is now a link that takes you to the Projects page, where you can access all of my projects. This was added last update, but I went ahead and redid it. I particularly like the css on this new and improved projects page.
• Featured Projects Revamp: Last update I mentioned how I added the Featured Projects box and were mostly using placeholders for it, well I've went ahead and added some ads for my projects, and to keep it interesting I also added like 90 other possible images that can show up that are Empyrean core but not ads for my projects. It's cool, trust me.
• Bug fixes: Yep, we had some minor bugs that I've worked through and fixed. Although, there are still some bugs to squash. Maybe next time.
• Embrace Empyrean: Yeah I have no idea what to do with this so I just converted it into text and if you hover over it, it turns white. Awesome, right?

Empyrean.lol 1.2 Updates (4/3/25)

I've been making some small changes to the site. Not as much as Update 2.0 but enough to warrant a changelog update, probably.

• Even More Quotes: I figured I should go ahead and add a few more quotes.
• Featured Video: I've gone ahead and replaced the Featured Video to a video about the 2008 recession, in honor of Liberation Day and the ongoing market crash. It's aesthetically fitting! If you find the videos annoying remember you can always just mute it.
• New Site Headers: That's right, no more boring generic bold text, we now have cool headers, atleast for the main page, that better match the Empyrean aesthetic. It was kind of a pain to implement actually but it was worth it.
• Preparing New Pages: I have added some new pages to keep the content flowing, but haven't attached them to the rest of the site yet. Slightly relevantly, I have temporarily removed "An Encounter With Empyrean" and moved some of the text there to the Site Info page because I consider it more relevant there.
• Additional Pages: I am working on additional pages, on top of the other new ones, although none are 100% ready as of right now. Just, uh, trust the plan. They will probably be next update material.
• Featured Projects: I have added the sixth and final box to the homepage, the Featured Projects box, in between the Empyrean and Misc boxes. This box will contain ads for my projects, and will switch out what "ad" is currently displaying randomly every 8 or so seconds. This is a way for me to highlight some of my projects. It's mostly just placeholders for now though.
• Project Page: Of course, you can always find all of my projects on the new Project Page, located underneath "About the Site".
• Changelog Page: Obviously this list of updates is new. This seems kinda redundant to list, actually.
• Friends: Last but not least I added some of my friends buttons to the bottom of the site, because the true friends were the friends we made along the way. Wait. That doesn't make sense.

That's all the updates I got for now! More to come? We'll see.

Empyrean.lol 1.0 Updates (3/23/25)

It took a week and a half, but the site is finally updated! Here's what's new:

• More Quotes: Quotes now cycle out every few seconds. Alternatively you can click or tap to get a new one.
• Featured Video: The Empyrean box has moved to the bottom left, and a "featured video" box has replaced its original location featuring Ye’s new leaked album (subject to change).
• Music Removal: The site no longer has music due to the addition of the featured video box.
• Redesigned Site: The Empyrean box now has a curved outline, and I changed the header of the Empyrean.lol box to “About the Site” for clarity and to avoid redundancy.
• Site Description: The site’s description has been updated and the old one is now part of the quotes rotation.
• Removed Content: The Taafyism and Canvas Wars boxes have been removed due to lack of content. We'll see if either ever comes back.
• YouTube Archive: Moved out of Taafyism and into Miscellaneous.
• Currently Listening Box: Added a box showing what song I am currently playing and also the past four songs listened to. Includes a dynamic background based on the currently selected album cover. You can hover over the album covers to get their information and to get the background to change. It's cool!
• Email in Footer: My email is now listed in the footer of the site.
• Mobile Optimization: Everything works smoothly on mobile with the exception of a slight differences in box sizing.
• Changelog Page: I suppose this changelog page is also a much needed addition to the site.
• Secrets: You heard that right! I've added atleast three secrets hidden around the site.
• Who is Empyrean? Maybe we'll finally get some answers as to what this all is? I doubt it. Maybe that Embrace Empyrean page will tell us something when it becomes available. But what do I know? I'm just the changelogger!

Wow, that's a lot of updates. Hopefully the site is more dynamic and engaging as a result, otherwise, what's the point of it all?
